The England bowler Moeen Ali has urged young British Muslims who are thinking about joining the Islamic State terror group “not to go”.
Mooen, who is a devout Muslim, told the Huffington Post that he believed Islamic law did not permit people from the UK to go out and fight for jihadist groups in Syria or Iraq.

Hi Muslim Times:
Thank you for this post. I have an honest question as I attempt to better understand Islam. Are Muslims required to advance their faith by violence, as we observe in Syria and Iraq, for example, at this time? Does the Quran require that Muslims advance Islam in the ways which we observe there? Thank you for your time.
Eric: Of course not. The Qur’an states: “There is no compulsion in religion”. In Syria and Iraq terror is being spread, not religion.
