AMMAN –– International media showed interest in the news of His Majesty King Abdullah pushing a car stuck in the snow in the Gardens Street (Wasfi Tal) on Saturday.

The New York-based Time Magazine carried a news item about the event.
“Jordan’s King Shows He’s a Man of The People, Helps Push Car Out of Snow”, the magazine wrote in the headline.
“A video posted online Saturday showed the King giving the old heave-ho with a group of several men in the nation’s capital city of Amman. The grinning Royal casually walked away after successfully guiding the blue sedan out of the muck,” Time said on its website, time.com.
Uk’s Mirror newspaper posted a YouTube video showing King Abdullah among a group of men pushing a car stuck in a snow pile.
The newspaper wrote in its headline “See King of Jordan help family push car out of snow as freak blizzard hits Middle East”.
“When a family’s car became stuck in a freak snowstorm, the last thing they expected was a Royal rescue from their country’s ruler,” the newspaper said.
“But that’s exactly what happened when none other than King Abdullah of Jordan appeared out of the white mist like a superhero. The moment was captured on mobile phone video, as the King helped a group of men push the car free,” the Mirror added.
“After the car was pushed free, locals chanted ‘Long live His Majesty the King’.”
Armenian newspaper, Tert, also mentioned the story using a photo and the video of King Abdullah pushing the stranded car.
Britain’s Dailymail also posted the video on its online version.
The video and photos of the King went viral in the Internet in Jordan.
