Unfortunately people always talk of ‘your human rights abuses’ and not ‘ours’. I wonder whether the Chinese bring up the US list of abuses, such as Guantanamo, torture in the various ‘offshore’ prisons etc.
You are right. Even though we hope ‘right to be might,’ unfortunately, in human affairs sometimes ‘might is right.’
One would think that as China becomes stronger economic power, it will begin to have more say on international issues.
