- Prince Salman bin Sultan inaugurates Khair Al-Khalq Museum showcasing prophetic teachings through modern technology
MADINAH: Prince Salman bin Sultan, governor of Madinah and chairman of the Madinah Development Authority, has opened the Khair Al-Khalq (Best of Creation) Museum at the As Safiyyah Museum and Park building south of the Prophet’s Mosque.
The museum is a pioneering educational destination that combines knowledge and technology, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
During a tour of the museum, Prince Salman viewed exhibits and technologies that bring to life aspects of the life of Prophet Muhammad, and watched several audiovisual presentations.
During the opening ceremony, attendees watched a presentation on the museum, followed by a speech by Fawaz Almehrij, CEO of Samaya Investment Co.
Almehrij said the museum offers a modern educational experience that enables visitors to explore history through a contemporary lens and learn about the values of prophethood.
He thanked Prince Salman for his support of cultural initiatives and efforts to develop Madinah and enhance the community’s quality of life.
Almehrij also thanked Madinah Mayor and CEO of the Madinah Development Authority Fahad Albulihshi for overseeing the project, and ensuring it serves as a cultural landmark that enriches the experience of visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque.
Earlier this year, Prince Salman also inaugurated the “Ala Khutah” (“In His Footsteps”) project, which allows visitors to trace the prophet’s migration route from Makkah to Madinah.
The project highlights the historical significance of the event, promotes awareness of the prophet’s biography, and supports sustainable cultural and economic development along the route.
Prince Salman emphasized that the project reflects the Kingdom’s leadership in serving the holy sites and enhancing the experience of visitors and pilgrims.
He noted that it integrates faith, knowledge and development, showcasing Islam’s values of justice, mercy, tolerance, and coexistence, and reinforcing the Kingdom’s role as the heart of the Islamic world.
