MAKKAH: The Institute of Research, Studies and Consulting Services at Umm Al-Qura University, in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has launched two new training tracks under the Rafid Al-Haramain program.
The Pilgrim Training Track aims to equip pilgrims with knowledge and prepare them for the practical aspects of the Hajj journey, helping them perform rituals confidently, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.
It focuses on three areas — experiencing Hajj, understanding rituals, and familiarization with systems and services — and offers 24 modules in 15 languages.
The Language Track, meanwhile, provides programs in more than 35 languages for those serving guests at the Two Holy Mosques, addressing diverse cultural needs.
The launch of the two new tracks reflects the university’s effort, through its institute, to support the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem and enhance the pilgrim experience. Each track assists pilgrims with their journey from pre-arrival to departure.
The Rafid Al-Haramain program was designed to provide 100,000 training opportunities for public, private, and nonprofit sector workers, volunteers at the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque, and community members involved in Hajj and Umrah services, equipping them with the skills to serve pilgrims effectively.
