The Indonesian Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (JMAI) together with the Indonesian Conference on Religion and Peace (ICRP), Yayasan Alam Lestari Asih Sesama (ALAS), and the Ministry of Forestry (Kemenhut) planted 100,000 trees.

The activity was carried out simultaneously in various regions of Indonesia. The activity with the theme “Greening Indonesia, Preserving the Earth” began with a kick off event in the Ciseeng area, Bogor Regency, West Java.

The National Amir of the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Zaki Firdaus Syahid, said that this activity was a form of cross-institutional collaboration to preserve Indonesia’s nature.

“Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah SWT, today we are carrying out a program to plant 100 thousand trees throughout Indonesia. This program is a collaboration between the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, ICRP, the ALAS Foundation, and the Ministry of Forestry,” he said, Monday (20/10/2025).

Through Global Collaboration Zaki explained, this planting activity will last until the end of December 2025 and will be carried out in around 400 locations in various provinces. To date, more than 30,000 seedlings have been collected and ready to be planted at 100 points.

“We are very grateful to the Ministry of Forestry for providing tree seedlings for this activity,” he added. This major program also coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and the 20th anniversary of ICRP, as well as a momentum to commemorate the spirit of Indonesia’s independence. According to Zaki, tree planting is a tangible form of community contribution in facing the challenges of global climate change that threatens ecosystems and the lives of creatures on earth.
