In Islam, mothers have a special position in education. his children . Rasulullah SAW said , ” Heaven is under the feet of mothers .” This hadith shows its importance the role of mothers in educating their children . Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad aba., the 5th Caliph of Ahmadiyya , emphasized that . The success of children’s education is a means happiness in this world and the hereafter for mothers .
In Islam, women’s jihad is not physical warfare , but building and maintaining a household . They educate children to have good character . The Prophet Muhammad SAW stated that women who carry out their roles will get a reward equal to male jihad . This shows that Women’s struggle to build a generation is a noble jihad .
In the book Heaven Under Your Feet (2019), it is stated that mothers have a strong emotional bond with their children. children . Children more often seek guidance and protection from their mothers than from their fathers. Various studies proves that the mother’s role is very large in shaping child’s character . The future of a child is largely determined by the education given by the mother . Therefore , the role of the mother is very crucial in building a quality generation .
Ahmadiyya Women’s Education : The Foundation of Progress Nation
The Ahmadiyya Jamaat emphasizes the importance of education for women . The 2nd Ahmadiyah Caliph , Mirza Basyiruddin Mahmud Ahmad ra. , stated this . He emphasized that the progress of Islam depends on the quality of women in their community . If women have education well , Islamic civilization will develop rapidly . Therefore Then , in 1922 , he founded Lajnah Imaillah .
Lajnah Imaillah aims to empower women in various aspects of life . Its focus includes spiritual, educational , and social areas . This organization is not just deepen religious understanding , but also improve the quality of life of women . The main program is to provide the highest possible educational opportunities for Ahmadiyah women . Scholarships and early education given so that girls have a foundation strong academic .
In a speech at UNESCO in 2019, the 5th Khalifa of Ahmadiyya stressed wide access to education for women. Ahmadiyah .
Many of them have achieved excellence in various professional fields . They became doctors , teachers, scientists , and other professionals . Islam provides equal opportunities for men and women in education . In developing countries , women’s literacy Ahmadiyah even reached 99 percent .
Apart from education , Ahmadiyah women are active in various social activities . They established a Learning House which is open to the general public . In this place , they teaching skills such as reading the Qur’an and moral education . Various life skills are also taught to improve individual welfare . This proves Ahmadiyya women’s concern for the wider community .
One of the main programs of Lajnah Imaillah is the provision of economic assistance . They provide skills training. such as sewing , cooking , and entrepreneurship . The goal is is to create economic independence for women . Health and financial management seminars are also provided to improve financial well-being . With this program , Ahmadiyah women have a better chance in life .
The dedication of Ahmadiyah women in the social field is visible from the construction of Baitul Afiyat. This building was funded entirely by donations from members of Lajnah Imaillah . This development is a symbol of solidarity and concern their social life . Ahmadiyah women are also educated to have high empathy . They set aside income for chanda ( charity ) and living a simple life .
Ahmadiyya Women as Agents of Social Transformation
Aisyah & Noor’s (2014) research shows that women Ahmadiyah plays an important role in shaping the character of their children . The values of honesty , discipline , responsibility , and compassion are instilled from an early age . Although facing various challenges , they remain persistent in educate their children . They hold fast to Islamic values and Ahmadiyah principles . This proves that the role of they are very significant in society .
In a seminar, Prof. Dr. Musdah Mulia, MA, stated that women have a high level of religiosity. higher than men . This is clearly seen in Ahmadiyya women’s community . Their spirituality reflected in worship and social interaction . This religious attitude become the foundation in various aspects of life . This includes children’s education , skills development , and social activities .
For more than a century , Ahmadiyya women have contribute to building the character of the nation . They active in the fields of education , social , and economics . Through Lajnah Imaillah , they produce a generation with noble morals and contribute to society . They are not only play a role in the family but also in various sectors life . This makes them solid and inspiring pillars of the nation .
At over 100 years old , Lajnah Imaillah committed to improving the quality of women . Organization This continues to encourage women to make contributions more broadly . They prove that women can become the driving force of social change . Their existence is important in national development . This is proof that Women have a strategic role in society . (*)
