Victor John Stenger (January 29, 1935 – August 25, 2014) was an American particle physicist, philosopher, author, and prominent skeptic. He was renowned for his critical examinations of religious claims and advocacy for atheism and scientific naturalism.

I mean to demystify the subject by merely putting theists, versus pantheists and atheists. I am hoping understanding can emerge when we pitch different ideas based on ideology against each other.

In the above video Paul Davies is suggesting that mathematics is platonic and exists out there. But can mathematics originally exist just in a book or edged on a stone without being in the mind of a Conscious God?

He highlights that scientists are not talking about metaphysics or necessity of the laws. The scope of their descriptions is limited and it confuses discussions. Only metaphysicians and philosophers really talk about necessity of laws and where did they really come from?
