Muslim Television Ahmadiyya joins African Union of Broadcasting

THE Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (MTA) has formally become a member of the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB).

The AUB presented a membership certificate to MTA Africa at its 15th general assembly and conference in Gaborone, Bostwana. The ceremony  was conducted by the Director General of the AUB, Gregory Ndjaka.

The coordinator MTA, Nigeria Studios, Dr Qasim Akinreti, received the membership certificate from the permanent secretary of government communications, Madam  Montlenyane Baaitse.

As a member of AUB, MTA Africa will have the opportunity to share its contents with other broadcasting stations on the continent and participate in training and other programmes.

Other new members admitted into the AUB  are China Media Group, National Radio and Television Administration of China, Russia Today, SPUTNIK and Voice of America (VOA).

MTA Africa had in 2022, in Abuja, applied for the membership of the AUB.

The head MTA, Gambia Studios, Abdul Rahman Cham, participated in the conference with top media executives and academics as well as development partners.
