TARAKAN – The presence of the Ahmadiyah sect has become a concern among Muslims. How could it not be, this sect teaches the belief in the existence of prophets after the prophet Muhammad SAW.

Ahmadiyah is a sect in the Islamic religion, which was founded by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad who claimed to be a prophet, Jesus the promised Messiah, and a mujaddid.

This sect has also been prohibited based on the SKB of 3 Ministers including the Minister of Religion, Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs number 3 of 2008, number Kep 33/A/JA 6/2008, number 199 of 2008 concerning Warnings and orders to Adherents, Members and/or Members The management of the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation (JAI) and members of the community have determined that Ahmadiyah is a heretical sect.

“There has been a fatwa from the ulama council, which is also a heretical sect. “Thank God, there is no Ahmadiyah sect in the North Kalimantan region,” said the administrator of the North Kalimantan Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB), H. Salafa Hepa, Sunday (31/3/2024).

He continued that so far his party had not detected this flow in the North Kalimantan region. He emphasized that the SKB 3 Ministers must be understood by the public in order to avoid the teachings of this heretical sect.

“The public must understand. We also discussed this flow internally at FKUB. “That has been confirmed as heretical and misleading,” he continued. The most striking heresy of this teaching is the blasphemy of Islam and belief in the existence of a prophet after the prophet Muhammad, namely the founding of the Ahmadiyah sect, Ghulam Ahmad. This flow has been developing for quite a long time, especially in the Java region.

“The public must be alert, if it appears they can report it to the ulama council,” he concluded. According to information gathered by journalists, the Ahmadiyah sect is now developing in the Balikpapan area, East Kalimantan (Kaltim).

This sect has also been declared heretical by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) since 1995. (*)
