KedaiPena.com – Kreasi Prasasti Selamat (KPP) transmedia storytelling organization
held a “Film Review and Talkshow at Pamulang University, Viktor Campus” with the title and synopsis of Ahmadiyah’s Dilemma and the film Puan Hayati: Threads of Faith.

In “Ahmadiyah’s Dilemma” the life of rapper Malik Ross becomes a lens through which to explore the challenges of identity and trauma within the Ahmadiyah community. This film explores more deeply the struggles faced by Ahmadiyah followers.

Meanwhile, in the film Puan Hayati: Threads of Faith, Dwi Utami and Nata Hening both are committed to Puan Hayati’s beliefs in Central Java. Through their narrative, the film reveals the challenges faced by local religions in Indonesia, highlighting resilience and the search for understanding.

Noor Huda Ismail, film director and founder of Kreasi Prasasti Selamat (KPP), stated that this film was made to show how to humanize other humans, even if they have different theological beliefs. Sociologically, we are fellow human beings even though we have different beliefs. So that the state can ensure that minority friends get their rights.

“This film aims at an awareness campaign or to build public awareness so that they can accept other beliefs which sociologically are part of the country that must be protected,” said Noor Huda Ismail to media crew at the Unpam Viktor Campus, Buaran, South Tangerang City, Saturday (2/3/2024 ).

On the same occasion, Chairman of the National Commission on Anti-Violence against Women (Komnas Perempuan) Andy Yentriyani stated that Indonesia is actually a big country, because it has a lot of diversity.

“Unfortunately, information is not widespread enough to know, so many people don’t care about religious issues, and that is actually the starting point for incidents of intolerance, incidents of violence experienced by people who are considered different from the majority,” said Andy Yentriyani.

With these two films, he revealed that the National Commission on Anti-Violence against Women wants to ensure that there is space for us to live side by side in peace and tranquility.

“Because coexistence is very important because from incidents of intolerance, there are bound to be women who become victims, with problems that they have to face, directly due to the impact of that incident,” he said.

In order to prevent incidents of violence against women and religious minorities from recurring, the National Commission on Violence Against Women has repeatedly provided monitoring of the condition of women in various incidents of intolerance in Indonesia, both in law and, depending on, in limbo, or repeatedly faced by one particular religious minority in Indonesia.

“We have held dialogue with the ministries of religion, home affairs, education and culture, these are the three ministries that are directly involved, as well as the coordinating minister for politics, law and human rights to ensure that this incident does not happen again,” he said again.

Andy Yentriyani hopes that the new government can provide better management of diversity in Indonesia, the issue of all state governance, including improving the education system.

“So that we can celebrate these differences, and then there will be more systemic efforts, which prioritize a strong sense of unity and oneness, amidst our happiness in celebrating Indonesia’s diversity,” he said.
