Video: Arguing God from Consciousness | Closer To Truth

It seems to me that the theists make a good case for Monotheism in the above video, by marveling at the creation of the Creator especially consciousness. I think, Robert Kuhn creates a fallacy towards the end in favor of his agnosticism by suggesting that theists first assume God and then look at the world and then conclude their own premise, which is God. So, he alleges that they are committing circular reasoning. I think the first part of the circle is false. They look at the world with an open mind, stand in awe of it’s amazing beauty, complexity and organization and so conclude that there is a necessary being, God. Additionally, humanity has heard from Him through 124,000 prophets and countless saintly people and acceptance of prayers of ordinary people, who call on Him with total sincerity in times of their agony and great distress.

Such attitude of the theists is not circular reasoning, but, is best described in the Quranic verses:

There truly are signs in the creation of the heavens and earth, and in the alternation of night and day, for those with understanding, who remember God standing, sitting, and lying down, who reflect on the creation of the heavens and earth: ‘Our Lord! You have not created all this without purpose – You are far above that!’ (Al Quran 3:190-191)

Humanity can claim to have solved or demystified the mystery of consciousness, when and if they are able to create or recreate it. Until then there would be attempts to solve it and sometimes tall claims of triumphalism and slogans raised in favor of atheism.
