Video: Arguing God from the First Cause

Epigraph

He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (Al Quran 59:24)

Quinten Smith is interviewed around minute 8 of the above video and he is following cosmological argument by William Lane Craig, so he has to pull out some trick to show that the universe even if it is not eternal, does not need a First Cause. So, he decides to sell an old bridge in New York city to the naïve, so they can collect some toll from the even more naïve. He says that we can splice the initial stages of the formation of the universe from big bang into infinite small segments of time to invoke the human inability to deal with infinity to get out of the reality that Big Bang happened at a particular moment in time and requires a cause.

Indeed laughter is the best medicine for atheism!
