Setara Institute places Depok City as an Intolerant city based on the results of a survey they released recently.
The Mayor of Depok highlighted the results of the survey by comparing the case of the sealing of the Ahmadiyya Mosque which was used as an assessment point in his research,

Mohammad Idris clearly said that the sealing of mosques could not be included as an assessment tool as the 2022 Tolerant Cities Index (IKT). This is because the sealing of the Ahmadiyah Mosque was in accordance with the law.

Idris told reporters. Not only based on the law, the Mayor of Depok also revealed that the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) had also determined that the Ahmadiyah congregation was a deviant sect. “On that basis we protect residents from deviant things and for that we seal it.
