HILLSIDE, NJ – On February 13, members of the North Jersey chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association volunteered at the Community FoodBank in Hillside, New Jersey, where they packed approximately 900 bags of food. With each bag weighing approximately five pounds, and a meal equivalent being one pound, nearly 4500 meals were packed.
For over 80 years, the Youth Association in the USA, an auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, has abided by their motto “Love for all, hatred for none” in all the work they do. The worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, has repeatedly stressed upon the youth the Islamic teachings of fulfilling both the rights of God and the rights of man.
The North Jersey chapter strives to embody its motto in whatever means possible, such as visiting the food bank, donations to local homeless shelters, and organizing blood drives. Likewise, youth volunteered at the Community FoodBank in January, as well.
