Urdu Video: Sir Zafrulla Khan’s role in independence of Islamic countries by Khawaja Asif


Khawaja Muhammad Asif is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, since August 2018. Previously he was a member of the National Assembly from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2002 to 2018. He has also been Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

  1. Alhamdolillah, I had the opportunity to know Sir Mohammad Zafrullah Khan quite well. He invited me to stay with him in New York for a week when he was President of the UN General Assembly. His predecessor as Pakistani Ambassador had a big family, so they had hired two adjoining flats. Sir Zafrullah was alone, so he gave the other flat to someone else who needed accommodation. As Ambassador he could have have full time domestic staff from Pakistan (paid), but he said that at Lunch Time I have to eat in the Delegate’s Lounge at the UN and for dinner I am mostly invited out, so why should I have a full time staff at home. A very humble person, even at the height of his career.
