VIENNA (Reuters) – Austria’s right-wing government plans to shut seven mosques and could expel dozens of imams in what it said was “just the beginning” of a push against radical Islam and foreign funding of religious groups that Turkey condemned as racist.
The coalition government, an alliance of conservatives and the far right, came to power soon after Europe’s migration crisis on promises to prevent another influx and restrict benefits for new immigrants and refugees.
The moves follow a “law on Islam”, passed in 2015, which banned foreign funding of religious groups and created a duty for Muslim organizations to have “a positive fundamental view towards (Austria’s) state and society”.

We have to differentiate between ‘radical’ ‘mosques’ and ‘political’ mosques. The Government of Turkey has a right and responsibility to ‘look after’ its citizens in foreign countries. There is no harm in teaching the Turkish children in the diaspora their history and culture.Anyway, it should be up to the Muslims how they want to run their mosques, not the Government. But yes, except the ‘radicals’, where the Government has every right and duty to step in.

Actually Government do not need to involve in Mosque or Church- as long ss Mosque and Church spread love and respect for all people, justice for all — except If Mosque and Church are used for spreading hatred and hatred toward others. Government should step in to prevent killing innocent people.
Most the extremist Islamic clerics spread hatred in mosque for msny decades and now we see the result of hatred teaching million Muslim suffered, died and live in fear. And then create Islamophibis growing in the Westren countries.
Islamophobia create fear to Muslim who live in the Westren Coubtries. Yes very sad. Unfortunately most clerics still blame others instead of look at to them selve. The root of fear, conflict are the extremist Clerics.
This is the true fact cannot be denied it.
I am so happy Progressive and Ahmadiyyah still spread a peaceful Islam to the world. Hopefully Progressive and Ahmadiyyah Muslim can work togeteher to spread love, care and respect others .

Simple solution: just go to the Ahmadiyya Mosques for an up to date and peaceful interpretation of Islam.
I do not know exactly how many mosques and prayer centers there are for instance in Switzerland. One (only) was found to be extremist enough to need closure or removal of the Imam. The word ‘most’ therefore does not apply really. Most mosques try their best to educate their congregations in a more or less correct way.
