The Ahma’adiyya Muslim Jama’at missionary from Lloydminster is holding an information session at the North Battleford Library, called Islam Understood, to try to educate people on Islam.
Tariq Azeem, of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’adiyya will give a presentation at the event. He hopes to dispel some myths about the faith.
The event is part of the Canadian Muslim Youth group Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association’s nationwide education campaign.
Azeem explained the Ahmadiyya Muslim community believes God sent Muhammad, like Jesus, to “end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and reinstitute morality, justice and peace.”
