A total of 71 camps will be provided to the beneficiaries of the low-cost Haj quota and the work will be completed in two phases, the Ministry of Haj has revealed.
This year, 50,415 domestic will benefit from the government’s low cost Haj service this year.
The first phase, to be undertaken by companies with a specific number of pilgrims, will be launched on Wednesday, the General Directorate of Domestic Pilgrims’ Affairs announced.
The ministry has approved some modifications on the low cost Haj serivice in terms of the price of contract, approved service provider, approval of housing program in Mina and Arafat.
Pilgrims will be housed in tents that include food and other services, a doctor and comfortable sleeping arrangements, in addition to security and cleaning services around the clock.
Buses will be provided for transportation from the city approved in the program to Makkah and back again to the designated city. For those wanting to avail of train service SR250 will be added to the package. Pilgrims will be given water and a dry meal in Mozdalifa.
