MOORE, Okla. – A national Muslim organization says they condemn the Oklahoma beheading.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA announced Wednesday that they condemn the brutal attack “in the strongest possible manner.”
“We wholly reject this barbaric and inhumane act,” said Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA National Vice President Dr. Nasim Rehmatullah, “and we mourn with the victims.”
On Sept. 25, 30-year-old Alton Nolen, a recent convert to Islam, allegedly attacked a woman at a Vaughan Foods processing plant, soon after he learned he’d lost his job there.
Nolen is accused of stabbing 54-year-old Colleen Hufford multiple times and beheading her inside the food plant.
After attacking Hufford, Nolen is accused of stabbing 43-year-old Traci Johnson numerous times before being shot by Mark Vaughan, the former CEO of the company and a reserve sheriff’s deputy.
Nolen is charged with first-degree murder, assault and battery with a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon.
