The myth that Judaism, Israel, and Zionism are one and the same needs to be completely debunked. Judaism is and always has been respected as one of the major religions throughout the world. Israel could be, but is not, currently, a respected member of the world community. Ask anyone outside of the U.S. And third, Zionism is and always has been considered a form of racism, similar to Nazism. Both are ideologies which advocate for and promote total domination by a single group.

It was no coincidence that the United Nations chose to express world opinion by drafting a resolution equating Zionism with racism. The Zionism Equals Racism Resolution remained in effect for years despite numerous attempts by the Israelis to have it repealed. Then came George H. W. Bush. Under heavy pressure from the Zionist lobby, one of Bush’s first acts as President was to force the UN to repeal this resolution, the first and only resolution ever repealed by the UN.

Another gross misconception long in need of correction is the phrase attributed to the Iranian president: “Israel must be wiped from the face of the earth.” Anyone interested in learning the truth will find it easy to ascertain that the exact translation of the words that he used is: “Zionism must be wiped from the pages of history.” It’s very plain to see that the facts that I use to support my point of view are just that, the facts, not “hyperbole” as Barson claims.
