Blood Donation Declaration carried out by the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation in Tangerang City.

TANGERANG—The Indonesian Ahmadiyya Congregation (JAI) held an eye donor declaration. The event coincided with the National Ijtima (Ijtima) of Ansarullah JAI in Tangerang City on November 1-2, 2025.

Suherman, the Ahmadiyya Eye Donor Coordinator for the Greater Tangerang region, revealed that prospective eye donors in Greater Tangerang are spread across South Tangerang City, including Parigi Village, Pondok Aren District, Serua Village, Ciputat District, and Pamulang District.

In Tangerang City, the donors come from East Panunggangan, West Panunggangan, Warung Mangga, Gondrong, Kenanga, and Paninggilan. In Tangerang Regency, the donors are from Pagedangan and Rajeg Districts. From Greater Tangerang, there are 3,298 prospective eye donors. "The largest number are from Gondrong and Paninggilan, with around a thousand people each," he said.

Suherman added that the Ahmadiyah has a team consisting of one excision officer and a driver. The excision team will come to the deceased's home to remove the cornea.

"After obtaining permission from the deceased's children, the excision officer will remove the cornea in no more than an hour. The removed organ is as thin as a scallion," he said.
