Bogor, 17-18 May 2025 – Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Indonesia once again presents a new color in an effort to build interfaith and cultural understanding through the Peace! Project activity which this time carries the concept of Live In with Ahmadiyah Indonesia . Taking place at the Mubarak Campus, Parung, Bogor Regency, this activity was attended by 40 participants from various religious and cultural backgrounds, with the spirit of learning, sharing, and building harmony in diversity.

For two days, participants were invited to get to know the Ahmadiyah community, its history, and its contribution to building peace. The activity was opened with an introductory session on the profile of Ahmadiyah Indonesia, the history of its entry into Indonesia, and an introduction to the central figures in this community.

Markaz Regional Preacher, Mln. Buldan Burhanuddin, expressed his appreciation for the GPF Indonesia initiative and the openness of the participants.

“Thank you for visiting Mubarak Campus, Parung, Bogor. I would like to appreciate the Global Peace Foundation Indonesia for initiating the Peace! Project activity which is participated by young generations from various religions and cultures,” said Buldan.

The activity also continued with a visit to the Peace Center, where participants were introduced to the history of the development of Ahmadiyah globally, including a collection of translated Qur’ans in dozens of world languages. Participants were also invited to experience learning Nazm, poetry or praises in Urdu, and learning to make and enjoy chae, a special milk tea that is a symbol of togetherness in the Ahmadiyah community.

On the second day, participants were introduced to Lajnah Imaillah, a women’s organization within Ahmadiyah that focuses on women’s empowerment and education. This session became a space for dialogue about the role of the family, especially women, in building the foundation of morals and children’s education in a pluralistic society. Participants also had the opportunity to visit the Lajna Imaillah library which houses various important literature as a source of insight and understanding across faiths.

In the closing session, participants shared their impressions and experiences. The warmth and openness of the Ahmadiyah community were the most memorable, showing that dialogue, direct interaction, and shared life experiences are the keys to building true empathy and tolerance.

Miftahul Khoir, as Program Manager of the Global Peace Foundation Indonesia, expressed his hope that this activity would be an opening for the younger generation to continue to be involved in peace work based on dialogue and direct experience.

“Live In is not only about getting to know Ahmadiyah, but about learning to be an open person and being able to live side by side in diversity. We believe that change starts from small spaces full of warmth and openness like this,” said Khoir. This activity is part of the Global Peace Foundation Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening the values of living together, respecting each other, and building a harmonious society through a youth-led interfaith dialogue approach and direct cross-cultural experiences.
