Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Mayor of South Tangerang Benyamin Davnie, gave an award to the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation (JAI) in the 2025 Superhero Ramadan activity held at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Center in South Tangerang, Sunday (9/3/2025).

This PMI award was given as a form of appreciation for the contribution of the Indonesian Blood Donor Family (KDDI), an official initiative of JAI, in helping to maintain the availability of blood stocks during the month of Ramadan .

Benyamin Davnie expressed his gratitude to KDDI for this initiative and hopes that similar actions can continue to develop in various communities.

“Thank you to KDDI for initiating this event,” he said.

Benjamin Davnie also emphasized that this kind of blood donation campaign could be an example for the wider community.

“This activity is an example of how to spread (blood donor campaign) with events like this,” he said.

Blood Stock Drops 30 Percent, Ramadan Donation is the Solution

Every Ramadan, blood stocks at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) decrease by up to 30 percent.

Therefore, blood donation activities such as those carried out by KDDI are an important solution in maintaining the availability of blood for patients in need.

This movement is considered effective in increasing public awareness regarding the importance of blood donation, especially during the holy month.

“I invite all people, both those who have and have not donated blood, to participate,” said Benyamin.

Target 3,000 Blood Bags in Ramadan 2025

This blood donation program is part of the 100th anniversary of the Ahmadiyah Community in Indonesia.

According to the Deputy Secretary for Social Affairs of PB JAI, Mln. Cepy Sofyan Nurzaman, this activity targets 100 blood donor points throughout Indonesia every three months in one year.

“For this year’s Ramadan, we are targeting 3,000 blood bags to be collected from various regions in Indonesia,” he said.

Mln. Cepy also said that the award from the Mayor of South Tangerang was an encouragement for the Ahmadiyah Congregation to continue contributing to humanitarian actions.

“Alhamdulillah, the award from the Mayor of South Tangerang is a motivation for us to continue contributing to the community,” he said.
