Liputan6.com, Garut – The Coordinating Body for Supervision of Beliefs (Bakorpakem) of the Garut District Attorney’s Office, West Java, together with intelligence representatives from the Garut Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), held another coordination meeting on the Ahmadiyah issue , what else?
“What is certain is that there are reports from the public about alleged irregularities in the construction of places of worship, secondly, there are allegations of the spread of Ahmadiyah teachings or beliefs, which in fact the Joint Decree of the three ministers has been declared to be outside Islamic teachings, heretical and misleading,” said the Head of Intelligence Section and spokesperson for the Garut Jaya District Attorney’s Office, P Sitompul, after the Bakorpakem coordination meeting, Wednesday (19/2/2024).
According to him, the coordination meeting activities carried out by representatives of the Police, Prosecutor’s Office, MUI, FKUB, Bakesbangpol, religious mass organizations, and the Cilawu Forkopimcam, were a response to the reactivation of the construction of the Ahmadiyah place of worship , which had previously been sealed by the Garut Regional Government .
“So based on this meeting, we will convey it to the leadership, requesting a recommendation to issue a warrant for data collection and information in testing the information,” he said.
Jaya stated that so far there has been no in-depth study or research conducted by the MUI and the Garut Ministry of Religion regarding the deviations committed by the Ahmadiyah congregation in Nyalindung village, Cilawu sub-district.
“A new heretical sect is considered blasphemy if the heretical sect is based on or follows the teachings of a particular religion,” he said.
For this reason, the results of the Bakorpakem coordination meeting can be the basis for the presence of comprehensive studies and research to be conducted by the Ministry of Religion and the MUI, regarding the activities of the Ahmadiyah congregation.
“The Ahmadiyah teachings are said to be heretical because they are based on Islamic teachings, unless they leave Islam and create their own teachings, creating their own religion,” he explained.
In fact, said Jaya, in the 1980 MUI fatwa it was stated that the Ahmadiyah sect was a deviant and misleading sect. “Now it’s just a matter of enforcing its norms,” he said.
