Three Spanish Muslims embark on an 8,000-kilometer (4,971-mile) pilgrimage on horseback from Spain. The three friends, who have been traveling on horseback for three months to fulfill their pilgrimage to Mecca, have arrived in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Feb. 10, 2025.

The aspiration of the three Spanish Muslims, Abdelkader Harkassi, Abdallah Hernandez and Tariq Rodriguez, who embraced Islam 35 years ago, is being realized, as they continue their long-held promise to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage on horseback.

The journey began from the Almonaster la Real Mosque (the Al Monaster Mosque) all the way in Spain, where Andalusian pilgrims set out centuries ago.
