The event, which is open to individuals of all faiths, provided free medical consultations, medications, laboratory tests, eye exams, and the distribution of eyeglasses.

Dr Ali Pate, Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, was represented by Professor Sa’ad Ahmed, Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre Jabi Abuja, who officially opened the event stated that the initiative aligns with the ministry’s priorities, particularly in promoting health security across the country.

He noted that the exercise would help the ministry gather important data on prevalent health challenges within the community.

Sirajuddin Alada, Chairman of the event and Naib Amir of Special Duties for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat of Nigeria, described the initiative as a humanitarian effort, emphasising that it embodies a message of love and unity to all irrespective of differences.

Beneficiaries from the ongoing exercise, Abdulmanar Rukayat and Musa Muhammad praised the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat for their assistance and urged for more such events to improve access to quality healthcare for the less privileged.

In addition, Alhaji Yunusa Bako, District Head of Karonmajiji, called on both the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare to upgrade the Primary Health Care Centre to a General Hospital for quality health coverage of the large population of the Karonmajiji community.
