Muslim pilgrims flock to Prophet’s Mosque in Medina during Umrah

Masjid an-Nabawi, which the Prophet Muhammad personally worked in its construction after his migration to Medina, fills with worshippers during prayer times, as Muslims from across the world come to the holy city to perform the Umrah pilgrimage.

Masjid an-Nabawi, where the graves of the first two Caliphs Abu Bakr and Umar are located together with Prophet Muhammad, is known as the “Prophet’s Mosque.”

The Umrah, a pilgrimage that can be undertaken at any time, usually attracts millions of Muslims from across the globe each year.

The Masjid an-Nabawi, which has been restored many times since it was built, is the second largest mosque in the world.

Masjid an-Nabawi has 10 minarets, each 105 meters (344.49 feet) tall, and a green dome.

The umbrellas protect the faithful from the strong Medinah sun.
