ZONAUTARA.com - Rice grains floated over the niru from the hands of Ijong Lasabuda (68). This middle-aged woman was tasked with ensuring that the remaining husks and other impurities from the rice processing process were no longer mixed with the rice she took from a 60-kilogram sack. Not alone, along with other female congregations, Ijong took care of the public kitchen. The kitchen was built to ensure the availability of consumption for the Ahmadiyya Congregation attending Jalsa Salana in 2023 is fulfilled. As in previous years, Jalsa Salana for North Sulawesi and Gorontalo (Sulutgo) and even Palu, Ternate and Ambon (before being independent) was always held in Motoboi Besar Sub-District, the sub-district where the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Congregation (JAI) Kotamobagu Branch is based.
Ijong and the Ahmadiyya congregation here are rejoicing, after two years of delay due to Covid-19, they can now welcome fellow congregation members who come from various regions.
Preparation
Enthusiastically welcoming congregations from outside, Ijong and the Ahmadiyya congregation in Kotamobagu transformed the Mubarak Mosque's backyard into langgar khana, or a place to eat. Langgar khana is divided into two, for female and male members. Beside langgar khana this is a public kitchen built. In arranging it, Ijong has gone through a consensus which was initiated through an executive committee chaired by Rahman Lukman Baaman (60). As chairman of the committee, Lukman felt there were no significant difficulties. This is because long before the plan to hold Jalsa Salana was already there from the center, then it was forwarded to the branches. In addition, according to Lukman, this is not the first time that he as a congregation in Kotamobagu has hosted the Jalsa Salana.
