Surabaya, InfoPublik – Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestianto Dardak said, East Java had made prevention efforts and implemented strategies to prevent intolerance and radicalism.

By mapping several triggers or triggers that must be watched out for and anticipated, of course with the support of various parties.

“The National Unity and Political Agency (Bakesbangpol) of East Java has carried out a mapping to find out the triggers, namely related to their religious sects, mapping their network networks which of course we must not underestimate their creativity and persistence to try to spread values that can lead to intolerance and radicalism, “said the Deputy Governor.

“Other mapping is the mapping of ideological conflicts, mapping of political conflicts, mapping of economic conflicts, as well as socio-cultural mapping, coupled with the BNPT program, namely mapping vulnerable areas,” explained the Deputy Governor while attending the National Dialogue activity held by the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), with the theme ‘Synergy to Build the Future of Advanced Indonesia and Harmony, at Ketintang Surabaya, Saturday (29/10/2022).

Deputy Governor Emil also said that the strategy that was also carried out by East Java was a soft approach or a soft approach by encouraging moderation in any case.

“The East Java Provincial Government is certainly ready to partner more intensively with BNPT, with the Terrorism Prevention Coordination Forum (FKPT) and also Pentahelix,” said the Deputy Governor.

Head of BNPT Komjen Pol. Boy Rafli Amar said that BNPT was given the mandate to remove or eliminate the virus of intolerance and radicalism in Indonesia by taking an upstream or soft approach.

In carrying out its mandate so that this virus disappears from Indonesia, it is impossible for BNPT to work alone, therefore we must synergize.
