Ottawa Muslims mark Québec City mosque attack anniversary

Three years after the killing of six people and wounding of 19 others inside a Québec City mosque, Muslims in Ottawa are remembering those killed by taking action against hate and prejudice.

Since the Québec City mosque attack, the world has seen acts of hate and prejudice displayed toward Muslims and other minority groups.

“I believe that if people get to know Muslims at our deeper level, the chances of prejudice…or demonstrating any hatred toward Muslims, would reduce radically,” said Luqman Ahmed, a religious minister of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Ottawa.

Ahmed encourages people to get to know their Muslim neighbours, and thinks that would reduce fear and ignorance. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Ottawa regularly hold interfaith events and open houses, to try to show that not all people who claim to practice the Muslim faith are the same.

“Muslims who abide by the mainstream Islamic values (are) not in any way associated with the extremist factions that you may see around the world,” Ahmed told 1310 NEWS.
Ahmed said that he feels the best way to remember the Québec City mosque victims is to make a firm resolution to enhance our mutual understanding of each other.

Ottawa Muslims mark Quebec City mosque attack anniversary>> WW1, The Kaiser “the Jews behind the trouble”, incl Easter Uprising (Dublin), I’m overlooking, the four leafed clover that I overlooked before, the Jews RETURNED to Palestine (depicted in the Bible, Old Testament (copied/translated from Jews scriptures). + added Jesus Christ plus his disciples and Saul of Tarsus (whom he named Paul).

    Ahmadiyyah Muslim has been promoting with : love for all and hatred for none since 100 years. I like to ask Ahmadiyyah : Does it works well to reduce Islamophobia?
    No! Right?

    Why it did not work well, because the root of hatred is written in Islamic book such as:

    Sahih Muslim 33—”I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah”

    This is Islamic doctrine

    If Ahmadiyyah really want to promote peace and love Ahmadiyah have to declare publicly that hadith is INVALID or false hadith. It should be taken out from the Islamic teaching.

    Otherwise there is no peace for sure!

      • I know Ahmadiyyah long time ago maybe 15 years ago.
        Ahmadiyyah interpretation of Islam is different with others scholars, we have to admid that. Promote peaceful Islam👍

      • Rafiq, not all Muslim like Ahmadiyyah who promote the peaceful and loving Islam— many Islamic scholars have different interpretation of verses and Hadith— you know it well— do not try to hide bad Muslim— like Isis, Taliban, Al Qaida etc etc.

        Like this verse-

        Fight / kill those People of the Book who do not believe in Allah, nor in the Last Day, 8 and do not take as unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have declared as unlawful, and do not profess the Faith of Truth; (fight them) until they pay jizyah with their own hands while they are subdued. Q. 9:29.

        Al Qaida Bomb NYTower 9/11 due to this verse and shouted— Allahu Akbar !
