Mr Buchholz visited the mosque on Thursday, March 21 to discuss Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s $55 million announcement to boost security at places of worship.
Imam Wadood Janud said he appreciated the support, but could not accept the grant.
“We are a self-funded community,” he said.
