International Muslim Leader His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad will tour the United States.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA announces the U.S. tour of His Holiness the Khalifa of Islam, Mirza Masroor Ahmad. This tour will last from Oct. 15 to Nov. 5, and is the Khalifa’s first visit to the United States since 2013. His Holiness will tour several cities in two countries, inaugurate three mosques and a hospital, and deliver multiple keynote addresses before departing Nov. 5.
This historic tour will cover Silver Spring, Maryland; Philadelphia; Baltimore; Houston; Manassas; and Guatemala. His Holiness will make a formal address while in Philadelphia (Oct. 19), Baltimore (Oct. 20), and Manassas (Nov. 3).
His Holiness was born in a small village in Pakistan, and worked as a scientist, teacher, and school principal in Ghana. Elected to the office of Khalifa in 2003, His Holiness now leads tens of millions of Muslims in over 200 nations. As leader of the world’s single largest Muslim community, the Khalifa demonstrates by example that Islam mandates loyalty to country, service to all humanity, gender equality, racial justice, and universal religious freedom.
“We eagerly await the arrival of His Holiness, as this is his first tour of the Americas since 2013,” said Dr. Nasim Rehmatullah, Senior Vice President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA, “Many members, including refugees, have never met His Holiness and will get their time with him during the tour.”
