Detroit area Muslims will celebrate Islam’s most important holiday Oct. 5 in at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Center in Rochester Hills.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Metro Detroit is hosting a morning prayer and sermon celebrating the Eid-ul-Adhia holiday at 11 a.m. on Oct. 5 at its community center located at 1730 W. Auburn Rd. in Rochester Hills. The holiday commemorates Prophet Abraham’s sacrifice and pilgrimage.
The service begins with a congregational starting at 11 a.m.morning prayer followed by a sermon and all members of the public are invited to attend.
“During these difficult times for our nation, it is more important now than ever to remember what God has given us,” said Dr. Nasim Rehmatullah, vice president of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community U.S.A in a press release. “As Muslims, we should strive to show our gratitude through prayers and service to humanity.”
