On Thursday, protesters in Burkina Faso set fire to the nation’s parliament building, the city hall of the capital Ouagadougou, and the ruling party’s headquarters. Protesters are angry over plans to extend term limits so that the current president, Blaise Compaore, can extend his 27-year-rule. The military reportedly shot at the protesters who stormed the parliament.
