The Minister of Religion condemns the destruction of the Ahmadiyah mosque in Sintang.

This incident just happened in West Kalimantan.Here are the scenes of the mosque belongs to the Ahmadiyyat community in West Kalimantan, Indonesia that was recently demolished by a group of people bringing the name of religion.
“The actions of a group of people who take the law into their own hands destroying houses of worship and property belonging to others cannot be justified and are a clear violation of the law,” said the Minister of Religion in Jakarta, Friday (3/9/2021).According to the Minister of Religion, acts of vigilantism, especially by means of violence that destroy houses of worship and property belonging to others, are a real threat to religious harmony. “Security officers need to take decisive steps and efforts deemed necessary to prevent and overcome vigilantism,” said the Minister of Religion.’
“Solve and process the incident legally. The perpetrators must be held accountable for their actions before the law, for the sake of legal certainty and justice,” he continued.
The Minister of Religion asked Regional Governments to carry out their functions to maintain religious harmony in their respective regions. This has been regulated in the Joint Regulation of the Minister of Religion and the Minister of Home Affairs (PBM) No. 9 and 8 of 2006 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Duties of Regional Heads/Deputy Heads in Maintaining Religious Harmony, Empowering Religious Harmony Forums, and Establishing Houses of Worship.
