Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Canada Inaugurates First School in Calgary

By the Grace of Allah Jama’at Ahmadiyya Canada inaugurated its first school in Calgary.

“Ahmadiyya Muslim School Calgary was inaugurated on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Baitun Noor Mosque in Calgary,” said Hameed Mirza, who is national education secretary for the community.

More than 100 families from Calgary joined the opening ceremony via Zoom to school with all children and staff. This is the first school operated by Jama’at in Western Canada that is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Alberta.

It was emotionally charged ceremony where everyone witnessed favors of Allah in removing every single obstacle that came in the way. Alhamdolillah.  The National President of the community, Lal Khan addressed all staff and children as well as members of Calgary Jama’at and led silent prayers to officially open the school. May Allah enable jama’at to open more schools in every city in Canada.
