Fearing extremist violence, Egypt silences 20,000 storefront mosques

Source: Religion News Service

CAIRO (RNS) – The Egyptian government has banned preaching at 20,000 mosques as a precautionary measure to prevent extremist violence during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Some Egyptian Muslims say the ban is unfairly curtailing religious life in their neighborhoods. But the government deems it an important step for public safety.

Penalties have increased for mosques that use their minaret loudspeakers for anything other than the traditional call to prayer. Scores of imams have been fired for straying from state-approved topics.

  1. Quote —The Egyptian government has banned preaching at 20,000 mosques as a precautionary measure to prevent extremist violence during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.—

Progessive Muslim support to ban the extremist who spread hatred speech in Mosque—that create conflict and terrorist—

This is a good way to defeat the extremist ideology in long term— other wise we cannot defeat the extremist Muslim.

As we know that the extremist Muslim use Freedom of religion and expression to spread hatred in Mosque and Electronic media too.

Yes, Human Right cannot be applied to the terrorist ideology—

Hopefully Ahmadiyya will support this idea namely to stop spreading hatred through Mosques.
Hopefully Ahmadiyyah are not use the double standart regarding to the extremist Muslim.

I wish you all a blessed and peaceful Ramadhan

    • Somi just has some strange way or arguing. Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at spreads the positive teachings of Islam through all their mosques and magazines and TV stations etc.etc.etc. Somi should know this by now. Egyptians can watch http://www.mta.tv – MTA 3, the Arabic channel. And many Egyptians do – and other Arabs as well of course. Why does Somi even mention ‘double standard’ … annoying (to say the least).

  2. Rafiq— why I said that Ahmadiyyah or Rafiq is double standart regarding the extremist Muslim? Because:

    1. Rafiq continue to erase my comment that agsinst his faith

    2. Rafiq never condemn the extremist Muslim who persecute ahmadiyyah Muslim in Lombok and Pakistan.

Hopefully Rafiq stop erase my respond here eventhough you do not like it. Please obey Human Right anf protect my right to express my belief here— Rafiq

May God bless you and your family
    All love ❤️
I wish you all a blessed and happy Ramadhan

    • Yes, please make a distinction between ‘Ahmadiyyah’ and ‘Rafiq’ in such a case. It is not ‘Ahmadiyyah’ who is against Somi’s comments it is Rafiq who sometimes delete them. Can you not see the difference? (well, this time you ‘nearly’ differentiate, thanks). – ‘Rafiq never condemn the extremist Muslim who persecute Ahmadiyyah Muslims’ … ???!!!! Well, well, well … yes, may be I do not go on repeating myself again and again, but surely it is obvious that I condemn and greatly dislike their actions?!!! Just by the fact that I publish all the News of everyone protesting. Anyway, thanks for pointing it out.
