Pope says Satan is More Intelligent than Humans & the Muslim Times’ Response

Pope says Satan is more intelligent than humans – We believe he is not a person but only a personification of our id or negative tendencies

Source: The Express Tribune

Pope Francis on Thursday claimed that Satan is a real person who is more intelligent than humans, according to MailOnline. In a television interview, Francis insisted Satan was not a fictitious character but rather a real being with dark powers.

The 80-year-old pontiff regularly refers to the Devil in his sermons in the Vatican and routinely praises exorcists for their efforts in combating evil. In an interview with TV2000 the Pope said: “He is evil, he’s not like mist. He’s not a diffuse thing, he is a person.”

He went on to say: “I’m convinced that one must never converse with Satan – if you do that, you’ll be lost.”

According to the Pope, “He’s [Devil] more intelligent than us, and he’ll turn you upside down, he’ll make your head spin,” adding, “He always pretends to be polite – he does it with priests, with bishops. That’s how he enters your mind.”

The pontiff  also said: “But it ends badly if you don’t realise what is happening in time. We should tell him, ‘Go away’,” according to the Telegraph.

  1. To an extent he is right. God created Iblis/Satan. God Almighty granted him permission to follow human beings. All human beings have two natural pulls. One pull attracts towards good things while the other towards bad things. Islamic scripture also confirms few are those who do not get attracted by Satan while majority follow Satan.
The only way to get protected from Satan is prayer to Almighty whose mercy and blessing can save any one not to become a prey in the trap of Satan.

    • @ I agree 100 percent with Zubair.
      1. The spirit of Holy of God can enter human body, human soul. Al Quran say: Allah very closer to your heart. It means Allah exist in our soul.
Indeed We have created man, and We know whatever thoughts his inner self develops, and We are closer to him than (his) jugular vein,QS 50:16. Allah is the greatest of all things. Allah knows what you do. QS 29:45

Also Setan can enter human soul if Allah permit it. Allah did not permit Setan to enter Jesus soul, Allah protected. That was why Jesus was a Holy person as well Allah is Holy.

      2. The teaching about the nature of Satan (Evil)
Satan influence /invites people to the wrong path, against God’s laws. Satan leads people to the torment of the fire.
These are the charecter of Setan Human:

      Proverb prophet Daud as.
      1. Evil people listen to evil ideas, liars listen to lies.

      2. Evil people hurts or harm other people, a good man make someone happy.

      3. Evil people deceive their friend and lead them to disaster.

      4. Evil people give correction they get mad, but a good man give correction they thank them for correction.

      5. Evil people talk badly or cruelly, but a good man talk kindly or nicely.

      6. Evil people look for ways to harm other, even their word burn with evil.

7.The heart of the righteous seeks knowledge,
and the mouth of the evil speaks evil things.Proverb 15;14

John 8:44 says that satan /Iblish is the father of lies. Satan has children, he has sons, he has daughters. He has wives, He has uncles, He has aunties, he has nephews, he has nieces, he has nephews, he has cousins he has grandmothers, he has grandfathers. Do not listen to them. Do not let the father of lies deceive you.

“O ye assembly of Jinns! Much (toll) did ye take of men.” Their friends amongst men will say: “Our Lord! we made profit from each other: but (alas!) we reached our term, which Thou didst appoint for us.” He will say: “The Fire be your dwelling place: you will dwell therein forever, except as Allah willeth.” For thy Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge.Q.6;128.

Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy, evil ones among men and Jinns, inspiring each other with flowery discourses by way of deception if thy Lord had so planned, they would not have done it: so leave them and their inventions alone.Q. 6:112

He orders you only to (do) evil and immodest acts, and that you ascribe to Allah what you do not know. (169) When it is said to them: “Follow what Allah has sent down,” they say: “Instead, we would follow that (religion) on which we have found our fathers.” Is it so, even though their fathers had no understanding at all, nor had they been on the right path? Q. 2;168-170.

Surely.for Satan doth sow dissensions among them: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy. (Q. 17:53) Q.7:22.

When they do aught that is shameful, they say: “We found our fathers doing so”; and “Allah commanded us thus;” say: “Nay, Allah never commands what is shameful: do ye say of Allah what ye know not?” Q.7;28

O ye Children of Adam! let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as he got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the Evil Ones friends (only) to those without Faith.Q. 7:27.

Anyone who’s followed the Satan of his life will be insulted and thrown into hell.
“If you will not obey My commands, you will be punished. If you refuse to obey my laws and commands and break the covenant I have with you, I will punish you. I will bring disaster on you (Leviticus.26.14-17)

      My conclusion
The extremist Muslim, and terrorist are the wolve with sheep’s clothing. They look like a good Muslim or good followers the sunnah, but actuslly the evil followers. Be careful with wolf with sheep’s clothing!!

May these verses of Allah will be benefits to the readers of this blog Amin

      With my love❤️

      • I do not see that extremist so-called Muslims look like good Muslims. It seems obvious to anys any sane person that they are gone astray. Just look at the beautiful faces of our Khalifas! Even without listening to the words we can see that Allah has blessed them with NOOR (light). And look at the extremist Muslims: their faces show the evil in their hearts. How can anyone be misled I wonder …

  2. Raffiq— I agree with you, Your Khalifah has pleasant face, I love to see his face. But one thing I disagree with your Khslifah do not follow our Prophet Muhammad properly, how to earn money. Prophet Muhammad earned money for living by doing trading, self employment or as a busdiness man.
Your Khalifah and all Cletics do not follow the sunnah but rarn money by collecting money from the members.

If Khalifah follow the sunnah, he is perfect Khalifah.
    That is my concern Raffiq
    ❤️

  3. Somi Tempo – I’m sure that neither the Prophet Mohammed or Jesus continued ‘working’ once they took up the role of religious leaders, they became preachers. And that applies equally to other religious leaders, unless they went into clerical roles at an early age, much the same as many Catholics did/do (who cherished that one of the family should follow a religious course and enter a monastery to become monks or priests – both males and females), as well as some Buddhist sects, such as that of the Dalai Llama, who himself was chosen for his particular role at a very early age as a sort of messiah, and as with the Catholics one young family member is usually offered to the monasteries. It’s an honour.

I’m not sure what point you are trying to make. The Khalif and his team DO work very hard in their particular role. How else would they have expanded as they have and are continuing to do? You may or may not agree with their belief, but it can’t be denied that they are a progressive and peaceful movement, more so than many others, and are unjustly persecuted. Everyone has the right to believe what they want.

Of course, all religious groups are dependent on donations to keep going, much the same as charities do. Isn’t a Zakat compulsory in Islam, the same as in other religious groups? In Germany it formed part of government taxation, who then distributed the money to the various churches. That’s the same as the Muslim Zakat, isn’t it? Of course people still gave/give additional money when they went to church services.

    • I understand Somi here (to some extent). When walking through a department store in Jordan or Saudi Arabia you will find practically nothing made in those countries. Somi is trying to find some of us to spearhead a transition. (On the military front for instance no Muslim country can be considered ‘independent’, when all the weapons and ammunitions come from abroad, for instance). In other words Somi would like Muslims to be more ‘pro business’ ‘pro sciende’ ‘pro manufacturing’ etc. Right Somi?

    • This is my view to see Islam and Prophet as a role model for his followers and mankind.
Why Our prophet did not accept reward / money from his followers and sponsor?
      1. The teaching of Islam is not a compulsion / obligation but voluntary.
      2. How dangerous will be, if a cleric receive money from a sponsor or government. Cleric cannot give a warning to his followers or sponsor ( Goverment). Look at Saudi Arabia / Iran Clerics earn money from Government. Can a clerics tell the truth to the ruler / Goverment if he see the ruler is corrupt or mislead people. The answers is NO.
Also a clerics cannot tell the truth to people who receive money from them, most clerics or preachers try to please his followers or make them happy and fun.

      3. Allah warn our prophet many times, do not receive reward or money when you convey my words like Rabbies and priests. Allah forbid to sell His words, very dangerous.

DO NOT FOLLOW A CLERIC WHO RECEIVE REWARD OR MONEY!
Obey those who ask no reward of you (for themselves), and who have themselves received Guidance. QS 36;(21)

“No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: (109) “So fear Allah and obey me.”QS 26; (110)

Those who give money to clerics is unlawfull ( haram) and those clerics who receive money from sponsor / government is unlawful ( haram).

      4. Our Prophet was a last prophet, different the previous prophets.
Moses teaching concentrate on one God and love.
Jesus teaching concentrate of love teaching. Our prophet Muhammad concentrate in justice for all and prosperity.
Therefore, Islamic teaching named a complete religion.

      5. A cleric who earn money from goverment, or his followers or sponsor is lazy / not priductive people compare to a self employment.
For example. Raffiq is a good example, he run his bussiness , he can employ few people, he can serve prople who want to stay in his motel, every one happy. He can earn money unlimited— he can give charity, zakat bigger then a cleric.
If Raffiq Raffiq want to expand his bussiness he can make more money, more charity, more zakat and more help help people. There are many benefits as self employment as a owner bussiness as a boss.

I urge young Ahnadiyyah to follow Raffiq and prophet Muhammad pbuh how to earn money for living. Allah will love you very much, you are a true follower of prophet Muhammad pbuh.

      With love❤️

  4. Somi Tempo – I do agree with you (and Rafiq) that much of the Muslim world could do much better on the productivity side. From my observation they do not have the pro-active attitude or work ethic of, say, the Hindus, Chinese and others, who are usually extremely industrious. Muslim professionals are a different matter, they can hold their own along others as doctors, lawyers, etc, whereas I see too many ordinary people wandering about as though in the villages of Afghanistan or Pakistan, with nothing much to do. I often wonder why they are not working and how they exist, or are they all living off the state? I live in London, which has many people of different origins, so can see what the situation is.

  5. Somi Tempo – There are good and genuine clerics, but there also many bad ones, who make much trouble, and are even dangerous, and often don’t even know or understand the Quran. Attaturk actually abolished them in Turkey for precisely that reason. But so far as payment is concerned, no organisation can function without money to run it, and that means that those in charge and others working for the organisation need to receive money to exist, as is the case of the Ahmadie head and his staff. There is no corruption involved here, as is the case of many religious groups in the USA, who are millionaires and have a millionaire’s lifestyle from the money they get from believing followers in good faith. The Khalif of Ahmadies is a modest person, as were his predecessors.

I have one point of disagreement with you. You refer to ‘luxury’, but I think you may be misinterpreting some passages in the Quran. I don’t think you should translate being rewarded with ‘plenty’ or ‘bounties’ into luxury, which gives a totally different meaning, and those words should be used in context. I have a Christian puritan background, and that means living modestly, and I always equated Islam with puritanity, not with luxury. That means having a work ethic and enjoying the rewards of labour. There should be enjoyment and pleasure, but no extremes. I believe in equality and moderation, no extreme wealth or poverty, a democratic existence, not a theocracy, where people can practice their belief in peace and not in fear of persecution, which is happening too often.

  6. My sister Renate.
What dose the life look like in Paradise?
THE CONCEPT OF PARADISE IN ISLAM.( BIBLE & AL QURAN). Bible and Al Quran are God book, Islamic teaching. Muslim should know that.

    God has explained some verses in Al quran as following;
This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the Righteous, is a beautiful place of (final) Return)― Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them; Therein will they recline (at ease); therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance and (delicious) drink; And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. Such is the promise made to you for the Day of Account! Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail― (54). QS. 38;49-54
( LIVE IN WEALTH AND LUXURY & HAPPINESS. )

    PARADISE ON EARTH.
Wise(pious) People live in wealth and luxury, but stupid people live in poverty. Those who love GOD inherit wealth and those who fear GOD prolong his life.Proverb 21;20.
    Prov.15:5. A good man leave inheritance to his children’s children a good example like;
Jobs steve , Bill Gate who left Iphone, Ipad and wealth to society for years and years ahead.

( LIVE IN WEALTH AND LUXURY AND HAPPINESS )

THE BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT IS TO GET TWO PARADISES.
And there are men who say: “Our Lord! Give us good in this world (Paradise ) and good in the Hereafter(paradise) and defend us from the torment of the Fire!”QS 2;201.

Those who have believed and obey all Allah’s laws. (63) For them there is the good news in the worldly life (Heavent) and in the Hereafter Heavent: there is no change in the words of Allah. That is the great achievement. (64) QS 10;63-64.

Everyone has to pursue the good life, happiness, and prosperity on earth, not only for himself, but for the next generation, and society. In order to be successful, every one has to work hard and sweat. On the other word, Islamic teaching encourage people to live in wealth or prosperity.

Those who seek a good life in this world and ignore a good life in Hereafter, he/she is a loser, like the life of Fir’aun (Pharoh). He was a King and the richest in the world, because he did not believe in God, he will cast to Hell in Hereafter.

Those who seek a good life in Hereafter, but ignore a good life in this world, he is deceived by Satan. In order to get a good life in Hereafter, he should get first a good life in this world.

Those Muslim who seek happiness only without living in wealth, just like people who live in jungle primitive life, they live happier than those who live in Modren City. Live in city more stressful than who live in way of primitive life.
    Do you agree that?

These kind of verses should be thought to next generation, grandchildren at home and schools.

May all of you will be inspired by the wisdom of Almighty Allah, ameen.
    For You from My Heart.
All those who read shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; O Allah, be my witness, that I have conveyed your message to your people.
    Was Salam–With My love

The issue is not about corruption, but clerics cannot tell the truth of Islam. Sponsor has influenced clerics with Money.
How dangerous Saudi Arabia and Iran, clerics or scholars who influence by the Ruler or King. What ever King tell him to do he does it even it is against Islam teaching.

That is why Allah remind our prophet Muhammad NOT TO RECEIVE REWARD OR MONEY when you convey Allah words to people.

Allah warn Muslim: do not follow the clerics who receive money from sponsor or his followers.

Obey those who ask no reward of you (for themselves), and who have themselves received Guidance. QS 36;(21)

This warning from God is very clear, I believe your clerics NEVER tell you, he hides it.

Hopefully you can get benefits from this verse, please obey Allah law and follow the sunnah, you will be save. Amin.

  8. Now I have a personal question for you. Who are you? You are obviously not an Ahmadie, so why are you preaching on this site?

Again, I would say that life and judgement are about how you conduct yourself in this world whatever your belief, and for believers judgement in the hereafter will be the same. It is a belief to keep people on the right path. And further, all Quranic texts are open to interpretation. Your interpretation may be different to mine or some others, but who is to say which one is the correct interpretation? We all see things through different eyes or perspectives. The sky may be blue, but try explaining what you see, it will be different to my version, and both will be correct. Much the same with written works. But the world is constantly changing including the sky, so it is also important to update meanings, which most clerics don’t seem to understand. They prefer to keep their followers ignorant and in control. That is not good for mankind.

    • Mr. Somi you must know, we as Muslims.

We Ahmadis do not agree with you as follows:

1-We do not believe that Jesus is God the Father.

2- We do not believe that Jesus is the begotten Son of God.

3-We do not believe that Jesus died for our sins.

4-We do not believe that Jesus is alive, wondering somewhere in space.

5- We do not believe that Jesus died on Cross.

6- We do not believe that Jesus was resurrected from death.

      We believe that:

1- Quran is the word of the God Almighty.

2- No verse of Quran can be changed.

We request you, please do not insult Muslims by the suggestion to change Quranic verses. This is insane thinking.

If you believe in love, please do not suggest any changes in Quranic verses.

I hope and pray that you will respect our sensibilities.
