Ahmadiyya Muslim Women Association (AMWA) celebrates Islamic Heritage month. The event is marked by a Holy Quran Exhibition and kids activities. It is arranged by Lajna Peace Village East; a chapters of Ahmadiyya Muslim Women Association of Canada in collaboration Michael Cranny Elementary School, Maple. (Toronto District School Board)

Focus of the exhibition is to give basic information about Islam and remove misconceptions prevalent in the West about Islam. At a time when Bill 62 has become a law in Quebec, this is an opportunity to understand the teachings of Islam. The Holy Quran with its translation in various languages is available for everyone to read and see what it says on women, modesty and the equality of mankind. Groups of school children along with their teachers have visited the exhibition! Kid’s activities especially learning to write in Arabic has captured attention of children. The model of Holy Ka’aba and prayer mat has been a point of interest for older visitors.

The exhibition and activities are going to run for a week. You are invited to visit and bring your questions along for clarification and answers.
