THIS week’s Queensland Multicultural Awards have seen many Logan City groups and individuals honoured as finalists, including the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community at Stockleigh, nominated for best local club or community group.

The awards recognise the valuable contributions of Queenslanders who support and promote a united, harmonious and inclusive state community, celebrated during Queensland Multicultural Month which runs throughout August.

According to its website, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community promotes cultural diversity by hosting and attending various cultural and ceremonial celebrations, promoting mutual respect, inclusiveness, cross-cultural engagement and interfaith harmony among communities.
