Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad greeted by thousands of Ahmadi Muslims in emotional scenes in Peace Village.
On 3rd October 2016, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad arrived in Canada, where he was greeted by thousands of Ahmadi Muslims as he returned to Peace Village in Vaughan, Ontario after a period of more than 4 years.
His Holiness was welcomed to Canada at Toronto Pearson Airport by the National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Canada, Mr Lal Khan Malik and various other officials who then escorted His Holiness to the Baitul Islam Mosque in Peace Village, the national headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Canada.
His Holiness was also greeted by the Mayor of Vaughan, Hon. Maurizio Bevilacqua, Ontario’s Minister of Transportation, Hon. Steven Del Duca and National Member of Parliament, Hon. Deb Schulte.
His Holiness has travelled from London, to attend the 40th Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community that takes place 7-9 October in Mississauga. His visit also coincides with the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Canada.

Peace and mercy of Allah be on you.
By the grace of Allah the Exalted, the Jalsa Salana of Jama’at Ahmadiyya Canada has begun and every year, Jama’at-s in each country convene their Jalsa Salana-s. Why so? Because Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) started the Jalsa by the command of Allah the Exalted and asked the followers to gather for three days in Qadian…… This gathering is not for fun, party or to gain worldly objectives. The purpose of gathering is for increase in religious knowledge, to enhance information and progress in ma’rfat.
What is ma’rfat? It is to have knowledge of something, to know it indepth. And which ma’rfat Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) wanted us to have progress in? He wanted that we should not profess superficially that we are Muslims and recite the Kalima “la ilaha illallaho muhammadur rasoollulah”…He wanted that we should progress in our Eman [faith, belief] after we accept Islam…He (a.s.) said if you read “la ilaha illallaho muhammadur rasoollulah” [There is none worthy of worship except Allah, Muhammad is His Messenger] then search who is Allah the Exalted and what does He wants, what are His rights and how we have to pay these. How to understand His commandments and how to practice them..We have believed that Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) is Rasul of Allah the Exalted, we believe he (s.a.w.) is Khatamul Anbiya then we have to find the paths of his directives and his Sunnah. How he lived and how to get deep understanding of it.
How Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) lived life. For this the answer of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) is superior to all details, while she answered to a questioner when he asked about the life and character of Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him), she replied: Have you not read Quran….. Thus what Quran says, it is indeed the explanation of life and each act of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) . It is the same ma’rfat about him (s.a.w.) which a momin (true believer) should try to gain. For this, it is essential to read and understand Holy Quran is essential.
== Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) said the purpose of Jalsa is to get progress in ruhaniat (spirituality).
When ma’arfat is obtained, it should not stay at the level of joy of knowledge, rather it should become means to get progress in spirituality and practice. If progress in spirituality is not gained, joining the Jalsa is useless.
== He (a.s.) said that A benefit of Jalsa, and each coming person should make effort for it, is that mutual introduction is increased.
This introduction should not be a temporary connection like worldly people, but each Ahmadi should make progress in the connection of love and fraternity with other Ahmadi. This connection should become so strong and stable that nothing may breach or break it.

Peace and mercy of Allah be on you…..Today’s word think status of religion is secondary and if we have to make progress, we need to think by being away from religion, and not only this, the reason for the on going discord in the world is religion. At the same time, worldly people admit, and it is taught in schools too that human learned fundamental morals from religion and to make human civilized and moral, there is hand of religion, not of any philosopher.
In other words, the people who have such thoughts, they are trapped in a paradox. On one hand they are against religion, on the other hand they admit that in making human to have morals, there is hand of such people who said Allah the Exalted sent us with this teaching and with these morals i.e. Anbiya (Prophets).

So in reality, there is very great role of religion and prophets in giving moral values to world. Though, after some time, the teaching of the prophets was forgotten, repeatedly and people or their leaders adopted some morals and laws while left others.
Anyways, Allah the Exalted sent Prophets in each people — who along with people’s spiritual and moral progress — played part in the development of their civilizations. Clever people and leaders adopted some morals but left ruhaniyat part (spirituality, soulfulness, connection with Allah). As the result, decline continued in religious and spiritual conditions of people. This decline in the teachings of religion, in each people, came due to the priority of religious scholars and leaders. They put aside teachings of religion, and brought forward their priorities. It also resulted in fall in religious teaching.

In fact the teaching of Allah the Exalted cannot be different for each people. When He says I sent Prophets in each people, it is obvious the Prophets sent by Him must have had brought one teaching, which is worship of Him and goodness in mutual human relations.
Many people, journalist or non-Muslims, ask question about Islam, I tell them, Huzur (a.t.) said, the essence of Islamic teaching is same (as above). It is told to us by Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) in short, that pay right of God the Exalted and love Him, pay rights of His servants, and treat them with kindness. Each religion has given this same teaching, and Islam’s teaching in this regard is superior to all and the greatest. Thus it is what religion is, and Islam is flag-bearer of it more than others.

Then how can we say that reason of worldly discords is religion and especially in this era, due to Islam and Muslims, world is in state of turmoil….It has no farthest connection with truth. This state of mayhem is not due to teaching of Islam, but we can say this state may have taken place at some places due to some Muslims’ acts.

In the past two centuries, the world have witnessed two world wars. Was the religion reason for these wars or it was the desires of leaders and political and geographic conditions and greeds?.
In this current era too, which Islamic country makes arms and weapons of extreme high quality? These are the advanced countries and big powers which make such weapons. Then these are sold to third world countries and Muslim countries. This material is sold to governments and anti-governments elements too. Huzur (a.t.) said: Whenever I asked the politicians about this, they answered me, you are right……. They are silent and have no justification.
Even if Muslim countries have become places of discords and wars, there is role of super powers too, as the weapons are purchased either from them or from East-European countries. Everyone knows but does not stop. How can they stop because they sell too. When they are told you are selling weapons to certain government, and those weapons are being used against a small country and becoming cause of oppression, they say we do not care, our business is legal we are not selling secretly.
If Islam says this answer is wrong, blame is placed at Islam.

What is the standard of Islam? Islam says, any work even if it is permissible, if it is being done at wrong occasion, it becomes non-permissible that is why Allah the Exalted has greatly stressed to do ‘aml e saleh’ [good/appropriate act] . True believer is the one who does permissible work at permitted occasion with good intention.

Huzur (a.t.) said: Few days ago, a journalist asked me question here that we do not know teaching and details of Islamic teaching, you say Islam is only guarantee of world peace but these days what is seen is completely contrary to it, how can it give such guarantee? I told him, you have used all worldly methods but could not establish peace. Muslims too are not practicing the teaching of Islam, that is why they too are passing through state of discord.
If true peace has to be established, then Islamic teaching asks to uphold extremely high standard of justice. A standard of establishing on justice is mentioned in Holy Quran in these words:

The following is based on Friday sermon by Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) after the Jalsa Salana 2016, Canada.The main points mentioned are about Divine grace, driving passion of volunteer men women and children who serve the guests at a Jalsa Salana. Thankfulness to Allah and His servants. Expressions and comments by some honorable guests from Canada and elsewhere including some Syrians. Some merits in services provided are praised and advice is given for further improvements for the huge system of organizing Jalsa. How Ahmadis should take the message of peace to the world. Through Jalsa Canada, divine message of peaceful reforms reached to 10-16 million people by various media. Focus at true aims. What are these aims?
Peace and mercy of Allah be on you…… By the grace of Allah the Exalted, Jalsa Salana of Jama’at Ahmadiyya Canda ended last week manifesting blessings. As much thankful we are, it will remain less. It is His grace which enables us to convene Jalsa-s everywhere in the world despite limited resources. By sheer divine blessings, the arrangements in general, become good. We do not have professionals for each department. We have volunteers from auxiliaries; Khuddam, Atfal, Lajna, Nasirat and Ansar. Officers and subordinates are appointed. There is full obedience to officer even if an officer is less educated in worldly terms and subordinates happen to be engineers, doctors or Ph.ds..We see this standard of full obedience in Jama’at Ahmadiyya, with full cooperation.
In these three days, the thought of worldliness fully disappears from the people at duty. They keep selfless thought; they have thoughts only about Jalsa. It is not a human-made thing which makes the thoughts to flow in such direction and which grant humbleness to actions. It is pure blessing of Allah the Exalted. If it is not so, the passion with which men, women, young and old serve can never be developed. It is Allah the Exalted Who develops thought in them to rise above any other thought and desire and serve the guests of Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) for the sake of pleasure of Allah the Exalted.

Thus first of all, we ought to be thankful to Allah the Exalted that He granted Jama’at such serving workers. Despite being intellectuals, they serve selflessly. If they are asked to clean restrooms they do. If asked to cook food, they do. They serve food, they do security duties, etc selflessly. Children do duties with enthusiasm. Non-Ahmadi guests are impressed when they see children serving drinking water to guests in Jalsa area, silently and with interest. They ask astonishingly how do you fill such passion in these children, in current world situation when religious groups and madrassa going children and young people are being given training of wrong things and oppression on the name of jihad, and efforts are being made to finish human lives, children and youth of Jama’at Ahmadiyya are doing life giving works. In the gatherings of ruhani / spiritual maeda [divine food table] young boys and girls serve physical food and water and join the life-giving-jihad.

Based on Address by Ahmadiyya Khalifah (a.t.) @ Jalsa Salana Canada 2016 :
It is explained and advised that when Ahmadiyya Muslims, especially Ahmadi ladies, come to materially advanced countries, mainly to find freedom to practice their faith, they get certain benefits but they also face some dangers which obstruct their and their children’s spiritual growth in materialistic environment. How to avoid these dangers and raise families to get worldly success as well as spiritual success while giving priority to faith over worldly life. How to fulfill specific commandments of Allah the Exalted without feeling any complex while taking the divine message to the world.
Peace and mercy of Allah be on you….Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) said: In the world, due to increase in education, new inventions and media, people of one country and area are knowing about others more and more. An event taken place in one country is known by the people of far places within minutes. The ways of living and priorities people living in advanced countries can be heard and seen by majority of people of less progressed or developing countries. There are merits of it but some draw backs are coming in view too:
=Unrest and feeling of inferiority is developing in people with lesser resources.
=Religion and its teachings is being thought as burden..
=In the name of freedom, religious and moral decline is being given legal protection.
=The things which religious history mentioned as cause of destruction of nations, these are told as mark of distinctions and goodness of free and progressed societies.
=Children are given such teaching, with which, children of small age have no relation at all, rather some of them do not understand what is being told to them. Some children mention it.
=Obscenity is considered as sign of progress.
At each step, the manifestation of announcement of Satan is seen, which it said to Allah the Exalted O God You rejected me from the Court, You gave Adam priority over me, so now I shall stand at each path of Adam, and shall incite him against Your commandments, astray him from deen, and majority of human will follow me. Satan announced it……Allah the Exalted said in response, all right you do your work, but I shall fill Hell with those who will follow you…….It is not said by God that I shall forcefully stop them from falling in your lap.

These days, newer than ever worldly progress is taking place. But with it, going away from religion in the name of freedom is a Satanic thing, human is falling in it day by day, human is forgetting God the Exalted and earthly glitter is overtaking them.

We also see whenever, worldly lust overtakes and human begin to fall deep in the lap of Satan, Allah the Exalted sent His Prophets and Messengers who make full effort to save human from falling in ditch of fire. Whenever situation of “zaharal fasado fil burrey wal bahr” [30: from 42 i.e Corruption has appeared on land and sea] developed and mayhem appeared in land and water, mercy of Allah the Exalted got excited and Prophets and Messengers are sent. It is religious history, each nation saw its scenes.
Has Allah the Exalted ended passion of His mercy for humanity now? Was His mercy only for previous people? Has He conceded defeat by Satan [nauzobillah, we seek Allah’s protection] that it may do anything. [Has He said] I have made human, gave him sense to distinguish between right and wrong but now I cannot do anything! No, Allah the Exalted never was deprived of His attributes and powers nor in future it can be. No doubt, He granted such freedom to human that I do not compel your acts, but I shall continue to guide to save you from evils. Those who shall avoid evils and choose to do virtues, I shall grant them bounties of paradise….For them, due to remembrance of Allah the Exalted and following His commandments, there will be things of paradise in this life and in Hereafter too. Those who shall go away from that they shall find abode of Hell.
Thus when Allah the Exalted sees state of chaos in the world, and sees so-called religious people following their desires on the name of religion [as we see in the world these days many scholars and organizations are doing so], and sees worldly people too embroiled in mayhem by been fallen in unlimited declines, His mercy is excited then He shows the scene of “yoyil ardha bada moteha” [30: from 20] He grants life to the earth after its death…… He sends water to residents of the world, it become means of life for spiritual dead.

Where (earthly) progress in education and new inventions have enlightened human minds, there these have made majority of people spiritually dead, even Muslims too have become spiritually dead by following wrong kind of scholars. It was to take place. By getting knowledge from Allah the Exalted, Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) had already told us about it, but simultaneously gave glad tidings that in this time of discord, spiritual decline, increase of earthly desires and forgetting Islamic teaching, a servant of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) would come to guide the world and would become means to revive the dead.
Thus we are fortunate that we accepted this Messenger of Allah – the Promised Messiah, the Covenanted Mahdi (a.s.) and announced after doing his Bai’at that we shall turn each attack of Satan back to it by the help of Allah the Exalted. By seeking the blessing of Allah the Exalted , we shall continuously make effort to avoid its each seduction. We shall give priority to deen / faith over world.

Qualities of Waqfeene Nau [members of a scheme of Life-Devotees] – Duties of Parents & Theirs [gist]

Peace and mercy of Allah be on you…….Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) said that By the grace of Allah the Exalted , the trend to dedicate children in the Jama’at is rising. Daily 20-25 requests from parents come for acceptance of their yet to be born baby in the scheme of Waqfe Nau . The scheme was started and later made permanent by Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah IV (may Allah have mercy on him). It has reached near 61000, from 28000+ since last 12/13 years.

The secular and religious education of an Ahmadi child is duty of parents, along with training.
The responsibilities of the parents of Waqfe Nau children increase after they present their children. These are trust of Jama’at with them. They should be well educated in secular and religious knowledge, and given training before handing over to Jama’at for the best of Jama’at and society…..These parents make pledge whatever will be born, boy or a girl, they will present it for Allah, His religion, for the completion of the mission of the true servant of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) —- It is the mission of the completion of the propagation of the guidance, the spreading of the true Islamic teaching in the world, the drawing of attention of the every person in world toward fulfilling the right of God and the spreading of the Islamic education of fulfilling the mutual rights.

Thus, this is not ordinary responsibility assumed by the parents of waqfe nau children, especially mothers as they write to the Khalifa of the time that they are presenting their child before his/her birth into the Waqfe Nau scheme with a pledge to Allah the Exalted like the mother of Hazrat Maryam (Mary) :
[3:36] “My Lord, I have vowed to Thee what is in my womb to be dedicated to Thy service. So, do accept it of me; verily, Thou alone art All-Hearing, All Knowing.”
That O’ my Lord, whatever is in my womb, I am presenting it for you. I do not know what it is, a boy or a girl, but whatever it is, it is my wish and I pray that it becomes the servant of the Faith. Accept this wish of mine. You are All Hearing and All Knowing, so accept this humble prayer of mine as well. You know that this prayer is the voice of my heart.
This is the longing of Ahmadi mothers when she pledges her child for Waqfe Nau and the father is also included in it.
The child is presented to the Waqfe Nau scheme with the agreement of both, mother and father.
