For the first time, Friends of Ganondagan is honored to host a unique afternoon with the goal of building bridges between varied communities while breaking bread andsharing personal life journeys.

Meet three esteemed individuals Gabrielle Hermosa, Mubarek Bashir, and Lauren Jimerson from the transgender, Muslim, and Native American communities, respectively, who will share their personal stories and perspectives “in the hope of inspiring others to live authentically, embrace humanity in all its diversity, and share their gifts and talents to make the world a better place for everyone,” (Gabrielle Hermosa).

Our guests will share their personal stories for the first hour, followed by an hour of joining event attendees to enjoy a diversity of breads and a diversity of thought. Our hope is that through getting to know people on an individual basis, we have the opportunity to share our common humanity and challenge injustice to contribute to a more just and equitable society.

Ganondagan State Historic Site is dedicated to the Message of Peace. The Friends of Ganondagan believes in preserving and promoting that message through events like this one.
