China has, once again, banned Ramadan in parts of the far western Xinjiang district for Muslim party members, civil servants, students and teachers.
Muslims throughout the district – which is known to have a minority population of Uighurs – have been told not to fast during the Holy Month.
The Uighur leader, Dilxat Raxit, sees the move as China’s attempt to control their Islamic faith and warned that the restrictions would force the Uighur people to resist the rule of the Chinese government even more.

Very silly of the Chinese Government, because the Muslims will then have no other choice then to seek independence.
The story goes that the muhammadans constitute a minority in the province and only a class has been banned from fasting. It does not affect the general population.
However, there should be no such intrusion into the personal lives of citizens except where it can be shown that curtailing that freedom is in the best interest of the individual and the general public.

Namelee, we take great objection to be called Mohammedans as it gives the impression that we worship Mohammad instead of the ONE GOD – ALLAH.
Like Christians are being called that due to them giving Jesus (as), the equivalence to God. Hence, we don’t want to be called Mohammedans.

I am not surprised. Angry, disappointed, disgusted…, but not surprised. China has a mental complex about religion, not only just about Islam, and this goes back to its Marxist era. Communism and Islam have never and will never coexist. So, what is our duty as Muslims in this regard? Does our voice count with the Communist Chinese government ruling the most populous country on earth? I doubt it. Muhammad talked about ‘the followers of Muhammad’ as it is recorded in your hadith Bukhari 2:18:154. Aisha did the same thing. Ever since, the usage has filtered down through the ages.
In the agreement signed on January 3, 1919, between Emir Faisal and Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Article 6 provided for the ‘Muhammadan’ holy sites being under ‘Muhammadan’ control. There is nothing to remotely suggest that any of you is more versed in the religion than the emir.
As recently as 2014, Abdul Alim of TMT entitled an article: ‘AN ISLAMIC EASTER? THE REAL RESURRECTION OF JESUS-A MUHAMMADAN MESSIAH’. I quickly drew the attention of Zia, your ‘brother’ Rafiq and Ghulam to this admission. None of them said it was a mistake. Rather, they chose not to post my comment.

Besides all above comments, Chinese act of banning Muslims from Fasting is totally against the Article 36 of Constitution of China, where it states that
“Citizens of the People’s Republic of China enjoy freedom of religious belief.
So where is freedom. Chinese government should follow the rule which they drafted themselves…
