Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Japan are shocked and saddened to know that the militant group ISIS has threatened to kill two Japanese citizens unless Tokyo hands over $200 million within 72 hours. A video of Mr.Kenji Goto and Mr.Haruna Yukawa has been posted by ISIS, in social media.
Anees Ahmad Nadeem National President Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Japan,said:
Hostage taking of 2 Japanese is a horrific act of evil. Islam advocates love, respect and peace and this painful incident again exposes that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam or any religion. It is barbarity at its worst.
He further said:
We stand united with people of Japan in unequivocally condemning this gruesome act and our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mr.Kenji Goto and Mr.Haruna Yukawa.
