Source: From reliable sources, I have learned that Amir of Ghana, Dr. Wahab, Ameer of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Ghana for a long time, died a short while ago.

“Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.” (Al Quran 2:157)

Modern Ghana reported that Dr Wahab A. Adam died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after a protracted battle with ill health.

The General Secretary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ahmed Anderson, who confirmed the sad passing of one of Ghana’s peace icon, said a formal announcement will be made shortly.

  1. indeed a great man has fallen. He has worked hard to project the positive image of ahmadiyya in Ghana and the rest of the world. I was privileged to shake his hands during this year’s annual ahmadiyya convention in Ghana. may Allah be pleased with his soul always.

    While I didn’t personally know him, thanks to MTA, I thought I knew him due to watching him and listening to his various speeches and question and answer sessions in different programmes like Faith Matters, Press Point, etc.

    Also reading about his work in Ghana as a peacemaker among the different faiths.

    I wish every country on this continent of Africa and the world had somebody like him to make peace around him…..

    The Icon of Ahmadiyyat in Ghana, Africa and World at Large has passed I way. I got shocked with news of the death of Maulana Sahib as he has been instrumental in the peace process in Ghana and so Africa at large. Africans will remember him for decades to come.

    Once many years ago , did not knew that he could spoke very
    Good Urdu I asked him some question in English then he replied me
    In Urdu language . I wil not forget it , my prayer for him

He is a man to be remember forever in the history of Ahmadiyya Jama’at in Ghana. Although I could not meet him in life personally but I always follow up his excellent speeches on Islam.
