The Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) is an American physicians not for profit organization headquartered in Westmont,Illinois. It was formerly known as the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America when it started in 1976 and was formally incorporated in 1977. APPNA is one of the largest ethnic medical societies in North America representing more than 17,000 physicians and health care professionals of Pakistani descent[1] serving across the United States and Canada.

Here is a letter by APPNA to Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, about the deplorable human rights situation in Pakistan.  The letter specifically addresses the heinous murder of Dr. Mehdi Ali Qamar in Pakistan, while he was on a humanitarian mission, visiting from USA:

  1. The letter is in small font. Cannot be read comfortably.
    It is good that letter has been written to Prime Minister because the government did not take any notice of that killing (cold blooded murder) of doctor Mehdi Ali Qamar sahib Rz.a.
    That was bad of the Punjab government and the Fed. government. What they intend to do about such cases of terrorism within Pakistani cities? Inaction is a major crime.

  2. May Allah soften the hearts of selfish pakistani politicians,and give them the courage to do the justice and safeguard the rights of minorities.
