In a bid to develop new technologies to improve services to pilgrims, the Presidency of the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque Affairs participated in the 42nd International exhibition of Inventions held in Switzerland that concluded on Sunday.
Haram authorities including officials of the departments of cleaning, ZamZam water production and management and technology development visited the international exhibition to explore new techniques in their respective fields.
Ahmed Al-Mansuri of the Two Holy Mosques affairs said that, “The delegation participated in the exhibition with the aim to serve pilgrims better with the latest technology as directed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.”
Members of the delegation included Dr. Ammar Abdullah Attar of the technology development department, Sultab Aati Al-Quraish and Maher Zahrani who participated in the exhibition to explore the innovative technologies that are emerging around the globe and were being presented in Switzerland, he added.
Al-Mansuri said that participation in such exhibitions will help to incorporate advanced technology in Haram services to pilgrims and visitors making their stay more comfortable.
He said that several people visited their pavilion at the exhibition including the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the United Nations, ambassador Faisal Trad and Saudi consul general in Geneva, Salah Abdullah Al-Muraiqib.

The Presidency is also working to develop the Kiswa or cover of the Kabaa’s production technology with the support of giant global players in Europe and America,
