Warren Jeffs, the leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, has been moved to Hospital Galveston according to his Texas Department of Criminal Justice offender record.

The polygamist sect leader, 58, is serving a life sentence for sexually abusing two minors, one of whom he allegedly fathered a child with.

The updated offender record gave no indication of the reason for Jeffs’ transfer, but this is not his first time in Hospital Galveston. Shortly after beginning his sentence in 2011 Jeffs fell ill from fasting and was sent to the hospital.

“Whenever possible, we send inmates needing medical attention to Hospital Galveston because it is a secure prison facility,” said Texas Department of Criminal Justice spokeswoman Michelle Lyons.

After a deposition on February 19, Salt Lake City-based attorney Roger Hoole described Jeffs as looking “frail.” Hoole is representing Lorin Holm, a former member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, who has filed a child custody suit. Holm left the sect voluntarily in 2011 but fears his minor children, left in the care of the FLDS Church, may be at risk of molestation.
