Emmuas Ecumenical Catholic, Ahmadiyya Muslim communities share meal, worship service

Emmuas Ecumenical Catholic and Ahmadiyya Muslim communities met on Feb. 22 to share a meal and worship together. The two faith communities held this special event at First Congregational Church to become better acquainted, learn more about each other beliefs, and build a greater appreciation for each.

They wanted to close the gap between the two faiths that may exist. By sharing a common meal and one on one conversions, they discovered similarities and fewer differences. Both communities shared brief introductory addresses; summarizing history, beliefs, and goals of the event. Following the meal, the worship service was conducted.
